A Word about Russian language
Why learn Russian language
Since its inception in 1961, the Institute has trained over 20,000 students belonging to different strata of the society viz. teachers, scholars, doctors, engineers, college and school children, defense personnel, businessmen, company executives, small scale traders and diplomats to name a few of them. We are proud to have Ms.Priyanka Gandhi Wadhra, senior diplomats of French, American, Croatian, Yagoslavian, Austrian, Polish embassies, as our students at different period of times.
The main aim of the Institute is to impart essentials of spoken and written modern Russian Language and at the same time acquaint the students with Russia, its history, culture, traditions and way of life
The Institute serves as one of the active centres of teaching Russian in India. It has close ties and renders assistance to various institutions where Russian is being taught like Delhi University ( Department of Slavonic & finno-Ugrian Studies, South Campus), Jawaharlal University (Centre for Russian Studies), Sprindales School, Blurbells School etc.
The Institute in the year 2000, had the opportunity to receive the first lady Ms.Putina within its four walls and discuss with her the future plans of promoting Russian among Indians in a best possible way. We have full support from the government of Russian Federation to popularize Russian in India.
Seminars, discussions, visits of specialists from Russia, round table conferences, film shows for the teachers and students of Russian language are regularly organized by the Institute.
The Institute offers you an opportunity to learn Russian Language and through it be introduced to the Russian Culture, History, Art, Traditions and way of life of Russians. We offer intensive crash courses (2 months) and long term courses (10-20 months) in Russian language for beginners. Classes are held four times a week.
